Malkangiri: Trapped in social media fever, two girls slipped into a waterfall in Odisha’s Malkangiri while shooting reels.
The mishap took place when the girls were near Gummajhara waterfall in Gobindapali area along with family members and relatives for a picnic. The two were roaming near the fall for shooting reels when they slipped into the water, sources said.
The girls shouted for help as they were swept away by the strong current. Hearing their screams, two local divers swung into action and jumped into the water to save the two. Both the girls were rescued safely.
Locals claimed that there is no railing in the waterfall for people’s safety.
