Cuttack: Two young girls have reportedly gone missing in barrage in Odisha’s Cuttack district on Saturday.

According to sources, the two girls came on a Scooty to the bridge over the barrage at Mundali in the district in the evening. They parked their two-wheeler, climbed up to the barricade of the bridge and jumped into the barrage.

Though some eye-witnesses shouted for help, nobody could dare go to the rescue of the girls. On being informed, the local police went to the spot. Neither the identity of the girls nor the cause that led them to take the extreme step has been ascertained.
