Bhubaneswar: Two persons were apprehended by the police for allegedly selling spurious zarda products in the name of a popular brand at Unit-I Market in Bhubaneswar.
Police said the Managing Director of the company had approached the Capital Police station with a written complaint that some people in the market were selling spurious zarda products using the brand name of his firm.
During investigation, a police team raided the place and seized several duplicate zarda items from two shops of accused Krushna Chandra Roul and Basudev Mandal.
A huge quantity of duplicate zarda products was also seized by the police from the two shops during the raid. Further investigation is in progress.
