2 Injured As Miscreants Hurl Bomb At House In Odisha’s Ganjam

Berhampur: Two persons were injured when miscreants allegedly hurled a bomb at a house in Khallikote area of Odisha’s Ganjam district on Saturday.

According to sources, the incident took place in the morning at Haripur village of Tulasipur Gram Panchayat under the jurisdiction of Khallikote police station.

Two youths were sitting on the veranda of the house when two unidentified miscreants came on a motorcycle and hurled a bomb. veranda. While the two sustained injuries, the accused persons fled the place after the incident.

The injured persons were identified as Niranjan Das (27) and Srinivas Das (25). They have been admitted to the MKCG Medical College and Hospital at Berhampur for treatment.

A complaint has been lodged at the Khallikote Police Station. The police have launched an investigation into the incident. It is suspected that past enmity was the reason behind the incident. Efforts are on toe nab the attackers, police said.
