Nuapada: Two persons were killed and another sustained critical injuries as a motorcycle on which they were travelling was hit by an unknown vehicle in Khariar area of Odisha’s Nuapada district early on Tuesday.
The mishap took place on National Highway 353 at Badamaheswar under the jurisdiction of Khariar police station in the district. The deceased hailed from nearby Barapadar village. The injured is undergoing treatment at the Khariar Sub-Divisional Hospital.
Locals spotted the three youths lying in on the highway and took them to the hospital, where doctors declared two of the injured dead.
After getting information, a police team from Khariar visited the spot and launched an investigation.
