2 Killed, 10 Injured As Tractor Overturns In Odisha’s Ganjam Near Ahdhra Border

Berhampur: At least two persons were killed and over 10 others injured, several of them critically, when a tractor carrying them overturned in Patrapur area of Odisha’s Ganjam district near Andhra Pradesh border.

As per preliminary reports, the mishap took place when several people from Buratal and Tumba panchayats under Patrapur block were proceeding to Chikiti in Ganjam to attend a political programme in the tractor.

The accident took place near Tala Gurandi apparently after the tractor driver lost control over the wheels while negotiating a sharp turn on the ghat road. While two persons reportedly died on the spot, ten others sustained grievous injuries.

After getting information about the accident, police personnel from Jarada in Odisha and Manjusha in Andhra Pradesh reached the spot and rushed the injured to hospitals.

The deceased were identified as Jagannath Bhuyan (43) and Dera Sabar (48).
