2 Killed, 15 Injured In Car-Auto Collision On Puri-Konark Marine Drive In Odisha

Puri: At least two persons were killed and 15 others injured, some of them critically, after a car carrying tourists from Andhra Pradesh collided with an auto-rickshaw on the Puri-Konark Marine Drive in Odisha on Sunday.

According to sources, the mishap took place near Bhuan Chowk when the car with Andhra tourists from Puri on board rammed into the three-wheeler. The collision was so severe that both the vehicles overturned.

Locals rescued the victims and informed the police. A team of police personnel rushed to the spot and sent the injured persons to the District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) in Puri. Doctors declared two of the injured dead, while 15 others are undergoing treatment.

The condition of around seven persons was stated to be critical. The deceased were yet to be identified, while one of them was stated to be a tourist from Andhra Pradesh.
