Malkangiri: Two persons including one from Andhra Pradesh were killed in lightning strike in Odisha’s Malkangiri district on Monday.
As per reports, Pangi Sukdev of Asarada village under Muchimput police station in Andhra Pradesh and Khara Sitaram of Peparmetal village of Malkangiri had taken shelter from heavy rain under a tree at Asarada in the afternoon.
Sitaram had gone to Asarada, located on border of the two states, on a visit to a relative’s house. At this time, lightning struck the area and both Sitaram and Pangi died on the spot.
