Khurda: Two persons were killed after being hit by lightning strike at a village in Odisha’s Khurda district.
According to sources, the two were returning from the paddy field at Jaymangal village under the jurisdiction of Khurda Town police station late on Saturday when lightning struck them.
Both were found lying still in the paddy field early on Sunday morning. They were immediately rushed to the district headquarters hospital (DHH) at Khurda where doctors declared both dead.
The deceased were identified as Narayan Pradhan and Saroj Jena.
The bodies were sent for postmortem and necessary financial assistance was provided for cremation of the deceased persons.
