Bhubaneswar: A couple died after their bike was hit by an unknown vehicle on the Baramunda over-bridge under Khandagiri police station limits of Bhubaneswar on Wednesday.
The dead persons have been identified as Upendra Nayak and his wife Lata Nayak. Upendra worked at the Regional Institute of Education (RIE) here.
Sources said the accident took place after an unknown vehicle headed from Khandagiri to Barmunda hit the couple on the over-bridge killing them on the spot.
The driver of the unknown vehicle fled from the spot. On being informed, Khandagiri police reached the spot and have started investigations.
