Bhubaneswar: Two persons were killed and another was grievously injured after their vehicle overturned at a village in Odisha’s Dhenkanal district on Friday.
As per preliminary information, the mishap took place near Gobinda Prasad under the jurisdiction of Bhapur police outpost limits in the district.
The deceased have been identified as Sagar Parida and Silu Behera of Kandabindha village in Dhenkanal, while Bubuna Rout of the same village sustained critical injuries.
The three were travelling in a jeep when the vehicle overturned after the driver lost control over the wheels near a turn on the hilly road.
Locals rushed them to Dhenkanal District Headquarters Hospital (DHH). While Sagar and Silu were declared dead, Babuna was later shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack after his condition deteriorated.
