Nayagarh: Two persons died while another sustained grievous injuries in a head-on collision between two cars on National Highway-57 near Lunisara Chhak under Nuagaon police limits in Nayagarh district late on Saturday.
Under the impact of the collision, the vehicles skidded off the road and fell into an agricultural field.
The injured, identified as Saroj Chandra Behera of Mahanga in Cuttack district, was admitted to Daspalla hospital in a critical condition. However, the identity of the deceased was yet to be established.
On being informed about the accident, police rushed to the spot and started investigation. During search, two sacks of ganja were recovered from one of the vehicles.
