Koraput: Two persons were killed and another was critically injured in a collision between two motorcycles in Odisha’s Koraput district on Saturday.
As per reports, the accident took place when the two bikes coming from opposite directions collided head-on near Patraput village under Nandapur police limits in the district.
On the impact of the collision, two riders were thrown off their bike and fell on their head on the road. They died on the spot. The rider of the second bike also fell down sustaining critical injuries.
The locals rushed the injured person to the community health centre (CHC) in Lamataput. His condition was stated to be critical.
On being informed, a team from Nandapur police station went to the spot and sent the bodies for post-mortem. They have registered a case and started investigation.
The two deceased were identified as Dhania Khara and Manika Khemundu of Khamara village under Nandapur block. The injured persons is Rabindra Khara from Palam village under Lamataput block in the district.
