Cuttack: Two minor sisters reportedly drowned in a pond at Banamalipur village under Nischintakoili block of Odisha’s Cuttack district on Sunday.
According to reports, the two girls, aged around 9 and 5 years, were playing near the village pond in the morning. Later, they went missing and a search was launched to trace them.
Their family members and villagers searched for them at various places in the locality and finally found their bodies floating in the pond.
The two were fished out of the water body and rushed to Nischintakoili Hospital, where doctors declared them dead.
