Bhadrak: The family members of a two-month-old boy, who allegedly died after being vaccinated, are staging a dharna at Bhadrak District General Hospital on Wednesday.
The incident took place in Muktapadi village of Banitia panchayat in Bhadrak block.
The family members said the child was given three vaccinations, OPV-1, DPT-1 and hepatitis B-1.
Shortly after being vaccinated the baby took ill and his parents shifted him to Bhadrak General Hospital where the doctor declared the child dead.
The family, alleging negligence in vaccination, is sitting on a dharna at the medical with the child’s body.
Bhadrak town police reached the spot and is inquiring into the case.
