Bhubaneswar: Bhubaneswar will have two more foot-over-bridges (FOBs) and their work will start soon, said BJP MP Aparajita Sarangi.
Speaking to the media on Friday, the MP said the two FOBs will come up at Satsang Vihar and Palasuni which are accident-prone and witness high vehicular traffic. “Though I had taken up the Palasuni project in the first year of my term as Bhubaneswar MP, it could not make much progress due to problem in land acquisition,” she said.
However, the problem has been resolved and the NHAI targets to complete the FOB at Palasuni by December 31, Sarangi said. Similarly, the construction work of FOB at Satsang Vihar will start on August 1, she added.
Releasing her annual report card as the MP, Sarangi said she has initiated several projects worth Rs 6,462 crore in Bhubaneswar constituency.
“The projects include 30 vehicle underpasses, nine flyovers, four foot over bridges, capital region ring road and others. I have been personally monitoring the progress of all projects to ensure quality and timely completion,” she said.
