Bhubaneswar: Two more members of the ‘Koi Bhai Nahi’ (KBN) gang, which was unleashing terror on the streets of Bhubaneswar, were arrested by Nayapalli Police here on Monday.
They have been identified as Sahil and Kanha.
“The investigation is being carried out on basis of two viral videos. We have identified all the accused. Five among them are in judicial custody and two more were nabbed today. A manhunt has been launched to trace others who are absconding. Stringent action will be taken against all,” said Bhubaneswar DCP Umashankar Dash.
According to police sources, the house of Rajesh Behera alias Chenga, a member of the gang, was also bulldozed following a tip-off that guns were stored there. Cases have been registered against 29 members of the gang.
Notably, the KBN gang hogged the crime spotlight after it attacked a youth at CRP Square on October 21. Later, video of over two dozen members of the gang brandishing sharp weapons and a gun, driving an SUV and reportedly dancing on the middle of the roads in the Odisha Capital with the music of Ram Gopal Varma’s 2010 political thriller Rakht Charitra playing in the background went viral, raising serious questions about law and order situation in the city. They then went underground.
