2 More Odisha IPS Officers Set To Go On Central Deputation

Bhubaneswar: Two more senior IPS officers of Odisha cadre are likely to go on deputation to the Centre following their empanelment for the purpose.

According to official sources, 1998-batch IPS officer Rajesh Kumar and 2006-batch officer Anup Kumar Sahoo have been empanelled for holding Inspector General or equivalent posts at the Centre.

This move is expected to bolster national law enforcement efforts with the extensive experience of the two officers.

At present serving as Additional Director General of Special Armed Police (SAP), Rajesh Kumar has played a key role in strengthening special armed police forces.

Similarly, Anup Kumar Sahoo, now posted as IGP Training at Biju Patnaik State Police Academy (BPSPA), has been instrumental in shaping police training methodologies.

The induction of the two senior police officers into central roles reflects the growing prominence of Odisha-cadre officers in national policing frameworks.
