Bhubaneswar: There was no change in the daily new COVID cases in the capital city over yesterday with 159 new patients reporting positive for the virus in the last 24 hours. Bhubaneswar had reported 159 new cases the previous day too.
The city had seen 216 COVID cases on Saturday, 233 on Friday and 267 on Thursday.
According to Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), 37 of the new patients on the day are from quarantine and 122 local contacts.
Of the local contacts, maximum 10 cases were reported from Patia, followed by 6 from Patrapada.
As many as 167 patients recovered from the disease while the number of deceased due to COVID stood at 1,035 with two more deaths reported during the period.
The active cases stood at 3,560 while total 1,14,785 people have been infected by the virus so far.
