Bhubaneswar: Odia mountaineers Soubhagya Kumar Rath and Pravasa Ranjan Chinara have successfully scaled Mt Friendship Peak on June 23, tweeted Odisha government’s sports department.
The peak is located at a height of 5287 metres in Peer Panjal mountain range.
Both Soubhagya and Pravasa are accomplished sportspersons. While is an Ironman, Pravasa is a long-distance runner and cyclist.
There was bad weather, including heavy snowfall, in the region a few days earlier. But that didn’t deter the Odia duo from achieving their goal.
