Bhubaneswar: Rajesh Mohanty and Mushtaq Beg from Odisha have been included in the final Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 auction list, Secretary of Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) Sanjay Behera informed on Tuesday.
According to the IPL media release, right-arm fast bowler Mushtaq Beg has been placed at SL No-224 and right-arm leg spinner Rajesh Mohanty at SL No-328. The auction will begin at 2.30 pm in Kochi on December 23.
A total of 369 players were shortlisted by 10 teams from the initial list of 991 players. Thereafter, the teams requested for thirty-six additional players, which took the grand total to 405.
Among them, 273 are Indians and 132 are overseas players. The total capped players are 119, uncapped players are 282, and four are from associate nations.
A maximum of 87 slots are now available with up to 30 being slotted for overseas players. Rs 2 crore is the highest reserve price with 19 overseas players choosing to be slotted in the highest bracket.
Notably, 11 players are on the auction list with a base price of Rs 1.5 crore. Manish Pandey and Mayank Agarwal are the two Indian players on the list of 20 cricketers with a base price of Rs 1 crore.
