Bhubaneswar: Two senior IPS officers of Odisha cadre have been empanelled for central deputation at the Director General (DG) or equivalent rank. They are R P Koche and Yeshwant Jethwa.
A 1993-batch officer, R P Koche is presently the Director of Intelligence. Known for his deep operational insight and leadership in sensitive intelligence matters, Koche’s clearance adds to Odisha’s proud representation in India’s top security framework
Yeshwant Jethwa, a 1994-batch IPS officer currently serving as Director of Vigilance, has also been approved to hold the post of Director General or its equivalent rank at the Centre. Jethwa’s reputation for integrity and his track record in streamlining anti-corruption drives within Odisha have earned him national appreciation.
The empanelment reflects the Centre’s recognition of Odisha cadre officers’ experience and leadership at the national level. It also reflects increasing opportunities for state officers to contribute at wider administrative and strategic levels across India.
