Two Pakistani diplomats were caught shoplifting at a Seoul store.
According to police, the two diplomats — employed in Pakistan Embassy in South Korea — stole inexpensive items worth $10 and $1.70, respectively, on different dates.
One allegedly picked up chocolate treats and the other a hat, reported The Korea Times.
The culprits were identified through CCTV footage.
Following an investigation, law enforcement authorities closed the case without booking the diplomats because of diplomatic immunity.
The Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations rules that diplomats and their families may avoid arrest, detention or indictment under certain laws of their host country.
