2 Persons Go Missing In Hirakud Dam Reservoir In Odisha’s Sambalpur

Sambalpur: Two persons went missing while bathing in Hirakud dam reservoir in Odisha’s Sambalpur district on Sunday.

According to sources, the two persons had gone to Jhankarani temple situated near the reservoir. Before going inside the temple, they went to the reservoir to take bath and went missing.

As they did not return home for a long time, their family members went to the temple. They found their clothes but there was no trace of the duo. Suspecting that they might have drowned in the reservoir, the families informed the police.

A team from Hirakud police station arrived at the spot and started investigation. On being informed by police, Fire personnel started a search operation in the reservoir but failed to trace the two persons. The missing persons are employees of ambulance service in Hirakud, the sources said.
