Cuttack: Two students were critically injured after a ceiling fan fell on them inside a classroon when they were appearing for an examination in Athagarh area of Odisha’s Cuttack district on Tuesday.
According to sources, the incident took place at Gopabandhu Science College in Athagarh area of the district when the students of Plus II were writing an examination this morning.
The ceiling fan suddenly fell on two of the students, causing them grievious injuries. However, other students escaped unhurt.
The two injured students were rescued by the college staff and immediately admitted to a hospital where their condition was stated to be critical.
The college authorities are looking into the circumstances in which the ceiling fan fell.
