Puri: Two students were injured as the escort vehicle of Odisha Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida hit them at Sorisiapada area under the Gop block of Puri district on Wednesday.
The students sustained injuries in the accident and were rushed to Gop Community Health Center for treatment. Later one girl student was shifted to a private hospital in Bhubaneswar as her condition worsened.
According to sources, Parida had come to her constituency Nimapara to attend a programme. However, her police escort van hit two school students at Sorisiapada.
Later, Parida met both the students at the hospital. Both the students are stable now. “I have sent one of them to SUM Hospital for advanced treatment,” the Deputy CM said.
