2 Workers From West Bengal Electrocuted To Death At Construction Site In Odisha’s Jajpur

Jajpur: Two labourers from West Bengal were electrocuted to death while carrying out a fabrication work at a construction site under Odisha’s Jajpur district on Friday.

The deceased have been identified as Indrajit Mandal and Rezabul Seikh, both residents of Malda area of West Bengal.

According to sources, the workers were engaged by a private firm at a construction project site in Jajpur Road area. The two workers were cutting iron rods with a cutting machine when the mishap took place as the instrument got connected to a live wire.

They were immediately rushed to Jajpur Road Hospital where the doctors declared them dead.

On being informed, a team of police personnel rushed to the hospital and launched an investigation into the incident. The bodies of the two workers were sent for postmortem.
