Puri: Two sanitary workers were injured after unidentified miscreants hurled a crude bomb at them in Odisha’s Puri town on Thursday.
According to police sources, the incident took place in Srikhetra Colony area in the afternoon when four workers returning to a site after having lunch.
As they were passing through Srikhetra colony, some miscreants came on a bike and hurled crude bomb at them before speeding away.
While two workers were grievously injured in the bomb attack, the other two sustained minor injuries. The injured workers were identified as Nimai Charan Nayak and Biki Nayak. They were rushed to hospital for treatment.
While the cause of the bomb attack is yet to be ascertained, old enmity is suspected to have led to the incident. Talabania police launched an investigation into the incident.
