2-Year-Old Dies, Grandmother Injured In Attack By Neighbour At Berhampur

Berhampur: A two-year-old girl child and her grandmother died while
her grandmother after being attacked by their neighbour at Badiamba
village under Hinjili police limits in Berhampur of Ganjam district on
Sunday morning.

According to reports, the duo was brutally attacked with a sharp-edged
weapon by one Ranjan Sethi. Both were rushed to MKCG Medical College
and Hospital here for treatment in critical condition. However, both
of them succumbed to their injuries while undergoing treatment at the
hospital.

Following the incident, a group of villagers caught hold of the
accused, tied him to a tree and thrashed him black and blue. He was
later handed him over to the police.
