Sundargarh: Two youths died after they drowned while fishing in Mandira dam in Kansbahal area of Odisha’s Sundargarh district on Sunday.
According to preliminary information, three others who went missing after being swept away in the water, were rescued
While the exact identity of the youths is yet to be ascertained, they were stated to be residents of Jharbeda village in the area.
Locals said that five youths had been to the dam for fishing and were swept away in the water. Three of them were rescued, while two youths could not be traced for a long time.
After thorough search for more than an hour, local residents and fire services personnel fished out the body of the two youths.
After getting information about the incident, a team of police personnel visited the site and initiated a probe.
