2 Youths Killed As OSRTC Bus Hits Bike On NH-57 In Odisha

Balangir:  Two youths were crushed to death under the wheels of a speeding bus on Balangir-Sonepur NH-57 in Odisha on Wednesday morning.

Though the identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained, preliminary investigation revealed that they were riding a bike from Sambalpur bearing registration number OD 15Y 7983.

According to sources, the accident took place when the Odisha State Road Transport Corporation (OSRTC) bus, plying on the Phulbani-Balangir route, hit the bike near Bhadrapalli and then ran over the two youths. The duo died on the spot.

Puintala police have recovered the bodies and sent it to Bhima Bhoi Medical College and Hospital here for postmortem. The bus has also been seized and the driver detained for questioning.
