Cuttack: Two youths were killed in a bike accident in Odisha’s Cuttack district on Sunday.
As per reports, the youths, identified as Muna Sahu and Rakesh Panda of Beliapal village under Badamba police station in the district, left their houses on a bike to go on some work to Kanpur.
As they were nearing Rushipada, the bike rider apparently lost control and hit a roadside tree on high speed. On its impact, both of them were thrown off the bike and fell on the ground sustaining critical injuries.
The local people rushed the injured youths to the community health centre (CHC) at Kanpur. But both Muna and Rakesh succumbed while undergoing treatment in the health centre.
On being informed, a team from Kanpur police station went to the hospital and sent the bodies for post-mortem. They have registered a case and started investigation.
