Koraput: Two youths were killed and another was critically injured as their bike collided with a tractor in Odisha’s Koraput district on Friday.
As per reports, the mishap took place when the tractor laden with wood logs was going towards a students’ hostel at Hataguda under Padua police station in the district. As the tractor was about to enter the hostel premises, three youths on the motorcycle came from opposite direction and met with a head-on collision.
One of the youths died on the spot, while two others were critically injured in the accident. The locals rushed the injured youths to a hospital at Lamtaput. While one of them succumbed in the hospital, another was undergoing treatment.
On being informed, a team from Padua police station went to the spot and started investigation. Following the accident, the tractor driver fled leaving the vehicle at Bakaput village.
