Bhubaneswar: The COVID-19 vaccine was administered to 44,880 health workers against the target of 37,076 in Odisha at a rate of 121% on fifth day on Thursday.
The vaccination was carried out in targeted 436 sessions in all 30 districts of the state on the day, according to Information and Public Relations department.
As many as 20 districts and Capital City registered vaccination rate of more than 100% on the day. While Ganjam district recorded the highest 281% of vaccination, it was followed by Angul with 236%, Bhadrak 218% and Bhubaneswar 186%. The lowest 44% of vaccination was reported from Deogarh district.
Five minor cases of Adverse Events Following Immunisation (AEFI) were reported during the drive.
With the day’s addition, total 1,13,623 of the total 1.92 lakh health workers in the state have been vaccinated so far. About 89% of beneficiaries were vaccinated in 93 sessions on Wednesday.
