20 Injured In ‘Fog-Induced Crash’ Between 2 Buses & Pickup Van In Odisha’s Gajapati

Gajapati: Twenty people were injuried in a series accident at Kendu ghat under Mohana police limits in Odisha’s Gajapati district late on Sunday.

According to sources, a bus, en route to Malkangiri from Bhubaneswar, skidding off the ghat and overturned after crashing into a pickup van and another passenger bus, stranded on the road due to a breakdown while travelling to Malkangiri from Puri. This accident took place around 1.30 am because of low visibility on the road at night due to fog, the sources added.

On being informed, Mohana police arrived at the scene and rescued the injured passengers. The injured ones were initially admitted to a hospital at Mohana and four among them later shifted to the MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Berhampur.
