Kabul: A powerful suicide truck bomb ripped through a hospital at Qalat in southern Afghanistan on Thursday killing 20 people and wounding 90.
The toll is expected to rise with the rescue operations still underway.
The injured have been admitted to hospitals in nearby Kandahar.
The Taliban has taken responsibility for the attack, which destroyed part of the hospital and left a fleet of ambulances broken.
