20 Odisha Districts Get New Collectors As BJP Govt Shunts Naveen Regime ‘Favourites’

Bhubaneswar: Sidelining IAS officers perceived to have been close to the powers that be during Naveen Patnaik rule, the Mohan Majhi government on Wednesday effected a major bureaucratic reshuffle in Odisha with appointment of 20 new district collectors.

  6. Kalahandi: Pawar Sachin Prakash
  7. Nayagarh: Akshay Sunil Agrawal
  8. Bhadrak: Dilip Routrai
  9. Gajapati: Bijay Kumar Dash
  10. Kendrapada: Smruti Ranjan Pradhan
  11. Rayagada: Parul Patawari
  12. Kandhamal: Amrit Ruturaj
  13. Sambalpur: Siddeshwar Baliram Bondar
  14. Cuttack: Dattatraya Bhausaheb Shinde
  15. Mayurbhanj: Hema Kanta Say
  16. Jajpur: P Anvesha Ready
  17. Sundargarh: Manoj Satyawan Mahajan
  18. Deogarh: Kabindra Kumar Sahu
  19. Nuapada: Madhusudan Dash
  20. Boudh: Subrat Kumar Panda

According to the notification issued by General Administration department, Board of Revenue Secretary Bijay Ketan Upadhyaya, an IAS officer of 2009 batch, has been appointed as Director, Odia Language, Literature & Culture. He will remain in additional charge of Director, Odisha Paribar.

He will succeed Dilip Routrai, who has been posted as Bhadrak Collector.

Balasore Collector Ashish Thakare, an IAS officer of 2011 batch, will replace Upadhyaya as Secretary, Board of Revenue, Cuttack.

Nabarangpur Collector Kamal Lochan Mishra has been appointed as Executive Director, Odisha State Disaster Management Authority.

Similarly, Jajpur Collector Nikhil Pavan Kalyan has been appointed as Director, Soil Conservation and Watershed Development, Odisha, Bhubaneswar. Kalahandi Collector P Anvesha Reddy, an IAS officer of 2017 batch, will replace him as Jajpur Collector.

Bijay Kumar Dash, Cuttack Municipal Corporation Commissioner with additional charge of Vice Chairman, Cuttack Development Authority, has been appointed as Gajapati Collector. He will replace Smruti Ranjan Pradhan, who has been appointed as Kendrapada Collector.

Nayagarh Collector Swadha Dev Singh, an IAS officer of 2014 batch, has been posted as Additional Secretary to Government, PR & DW Department.

Parul Patawari has been appointed as Rayagada Collector. The 2015-batch IAS officer was serving as State Project Director, OSEPA with additional charge of Member Secretary, Mo School.

Dhenkanal Collector Amrit Ruturaj has been transferred and posted as Kandhamal Collector.

Bhadrak Collector Siddeshwar Baliram Bondar, an IAS officer of 2016 batch, has been appointed as Sambalpur Collector.

Similarly, Mayurbhanj Collector Dattatraya Bhausaheb Shinde, an IAS officer of 2016 batch, has been appointed as Collector & DM, Cuttack. Nuapada Collector Hema Kanta Say, an IAS officer of 2017 batch, will replace him as Mayurbhanj Collector.

Kandhamal Collector Ashish Ishwar Patil, an IAS officer of 2017 batch, has been appointed as Collector & DM, Malkangiri.

Deogarh Collector Somesh Kumar Upadhyay, an IAS officer of 2017 batch, has been posted as Dhenkanal Collector.

Director, Rural Development, Subhankar Mohapatra, an IAS officer of 2018 batch, has been appointed as Collector & DM, Nabarangpur.

Kendrapada Collector Suryawanshi Mayur Vikas, an IAS officer of 2018 batch, will now serve as Balasore Collector.

Boudh Collector J Sonal, , an IAS officer of 2018 batch, has been appointed as Collector & DM, Jagatsinghpur.

Malkangiri Collector Pawar Sachin Prakash, an IAS officer of 2019 batch, has been posted as Kalahandi Collector.

Sambalpur Collector Akshay Sunil Agrawal, an IAS officer of 2019 batch, has been shifted to Nayagarh as its Collector.

Rayagada Collector Manoj Satyawan Mahajan, an IAS officer of 2019 batch, has been appointed as Collector & DM, Sundargarh.

Executive Director (Land), Odisha Mining Corporation Ltd, Kabindra Kumar Sahu has been transferred and posted as Collector & DM, Deogarh.

Special Secretary to Government, Odia Language, Literature and Culture Department, Madhusudan Dash has been transferred and posted as Collector & DM, Nuapada.

Special Secretary to Government, Rural Development Department, Subrat Kumar Panda has appointed Boudh Collector.
