Bhawanipatna: Over 20 students of a private school were injured after being attacked by a swarm of bees during Saraswati Puja celebrations near Bhawanipatna town in Odisha’s Kalahandi district on Sunday.
As per information, the incident took place at Duarasuni village on the outskirts of Bhawanipatna when Saraswati Puja was being celebrated in the school.
While the celebrations were in progress in the private school, a swarm of bees suddenly appeared and attacked students. The bees had built two hives and a nest on the school premises, locals said.
More than 20 students and school staff were injured in the bee attack. They were immediately rushed to the district headquarters hospital (DHH) for treatment.
After receiving treatment at the hospital, the injured students and staff returned home.
