Bhubaneswar: A girl student from West Bengal’s North 24 Parganas reportedly went missing from Bhubaneswar railway station on Wednesday.
An aspiring air hostess, Sweety Roy (20) is a student of Utkal Aerospace and Engineering College at Khandagiri here.
Sweety’s father works with the BSF in Tripura. The family members said that Sweety boarded the Jan Shatabdi Express from Howrah on Wednesday and called her mother after deboarding at Bhubaneswar railway station. However, the family could not contact her subsequently and her mobile phone was found switched off.
Her local guardian, Suresh Panda, has lodged a complaint with the Government Railway Police. ” She arrived at platform no.6 around 8.06 pm yesterday. But nobody knows where she went subsequently. We immediately visited Nayapalli police station and again came to Bhubaneswar government railway police,” he said.
Her family suspects that some miscreant might have drugged and kidnapped her, he added.
