New Delhi: The Indian Railways will run more than 200 passenger trains from next month. This will be in addition to the existing AC trains being run in the country.
Stating that the additional trains will be from the normal time table, the
Railways said those will have second class non-air-conditioned coaches. Ticket booking for these trains will be made online and the details will be available soon.
This is part of the Central Government’s exercise to gradually relax the restrictions due to lockdown imposed in the wake of coronavirus.
The Government had run Shramik Special trains initially to carry migrant labourers from different parts of the country to their home states.
