Bhubaneswar: More than 200 women participated in a mega motor rally organised by Rotary International District 3262 here on Sunday to promote organ donation.
The rally involving two wheelers and four wheelers was taken out from Janata Maidan at 7:30 am and returned to the same venue after covering a distance of 20 km in the state capital.
Speaking on the occasion, Rotary District Governor Ajay Agarwal said, “The reason behind shortage of organs is that many people are unaware about organ donation and not discussed about the same with their family members.”
The event aims to create awareness among public, especially youths, for the noble cause of organ donation that can save many lives, Agarwal added.
