Kolkata: A 21-year old youth from Odisha was found hanging at the gallery of Block-K of Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Monday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Dhananjay Barik, son of an employee of Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB).
According to reports, Dhananjay had come to Kolkata hoping to get a job of a groundsman at Eden Garden, like his father and uncle. He started feeling frustrated as uncertainty prevailed over his appointment. He then went missing on Sunday afternoon, following which, his family members lodged a complaint at Maidan police station in the evening. His body was found at the upper tier of Block-K of the stadium gallery this morning.
Police said that primary investigation revealed that he under acute mental stress and this could have prompted him to this extreme step.
