Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday sanctioned Rs 44.73 crore for 213 panchayats in 10 blocks of 10 districts under Ama Gaon Ama Bikash Yojana at the block level.
The Chief Minister sanctioned the amount for 1,926 projects after interacting with the block representatives through video conferencing at the State Secretariat here.
Of the sanctioned amount, Rs 5.51 crore has been earmarked for 330 projects in 21 panchayats of Harabhanga block in Boudh district, Rs three crore for 165 projects in 14 panchayats of Tigiria block in Cuttack district, Rs 4.56 crore for 114 projects in 38 panchayats of Mohana block in Gajapati district and Rs 5.515 crore for 191 projects in 24 panchayats of the Marshaghai block in Kendrapada district.
The Chief Minister sanctioned Rs 4.75 crore for 154 projects in 19 panchayats of Bologada block in Khurdha district, Rs 2.84 crore for 160 projects in 15 panchayats of Boden block in Nuapada district, Rs 7.05 crore for 403 projects in 30 panchayats of Puri Sadar block in Puri district, Rs 3.655 crore for 143 projects in 17 panchayats of Kuchinda block in Sambalpur district, Rs 4.35 crore for 127 projects in 16 panchayats of Binka block in Sonpur district and Rs 3.50 crore for 139 projects in 19 panchayats of Hemagiri block in Sundargarh district.
Adding today’s sanctioned amount, the Chief Minister has allocated a total of Rs 729.14 crore for 29,816 projects in 3,197 panchayats of 139 blocks.
Notably, under Ama Gaon Ama Bikash Yojana, the Chief Minister is discussing the proposals directly with the villagers and then he is sanctioning the amount for the proposed projects.
