Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Monday informed about 28 new infections being reported within its limits in the last 24 hours, which is the lowest daily caseload recorded in the recent past.
However, the I & PR Department tweet earlier in the day mentioned about Khurda district adding 23 new cases to its affected tally during this period.
The BMC limits are covered under Khurda district in the Health Department’s website on COVID update.
The discrepancies in data do not end here. While the BMC has put the affected tally at 30751, the government website mentions about 38,560 confirmed cases in the city limits. The death recovered and active cases columns have not been updated. While the virus has claimed 219 lives in the Odisha capital, the website mentions about 81 deaths.
