Over 24 Houses Gutted In Bhanjanagar

Berhampur: More than 24 houses were gutted in a major fire that broke out at Badagunduri village in Bhanjanagar of Ganjam district on Saturday, rendering seven families homeless.
No human injury or casualty was reported. However, property worth lakhs of rupees was reduced to ashes.
Though the cause of the blaze is yet to be as ascertained, an electric short circuit is suspected to have triggered the fire.
The fire reportedly started in a house in the village and gradually engulfed the adjoining ones, a fire officer said.
