24 New COVID Cases Reported From Odisha’s Balasore

Balasore: Balsore district has reported 24 new COVID-19 positive cases, taking the district’s total tally to 377, Collector K Sudarshan Chakravarthy said on Thursday.

The collector informed that of the new cases, 11 were reported from quarantine centres, nine from home quarantine and four were local contact cases.

Of these, 20 patients had travel history from outside Odisha — nine from Mumbai, four from New Delhi, three from Hyderabad, two from Tamil Nadu and one each from Telangana and Uttar Pradesh. The contract tracing of these 20 positive cases is underway, the collector said.

Out of 377 positive cases in the district as on July 1, 304 patients have been cured and 73 are active cases.
