Keonjhar: As many as 21 Class VIII students of Basantpur Ashram School under Jhumpura block in Keonjhar district, who had fled the hostel following ragging by senior students late on Sunday, returned to the residential school on Wednesday.
According to reports, 24 students of the same class were allegedly being ragged by some Class IX students for the past several years. Frustrated over repeated assault, the students jumped over the school’s boundary wall and fled.
However, efforts are on by the district welfare officials to trace the other missing students, who are yet to reach home.
