Cuttack: As many as 240 more persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the city on Tuesday.
Of the new cases, 39 were from institutional quarantine centres, 53 from home quarantine and 148 were local contacts, according to Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC).
The positive cases reported from home quarantine included 8 from CDA, 6 from Mangalabad and 4 each from Matha Sahi and Bouri Sahi.
Of the local contacts, 10 were from Jagatpur, 7 from Badambadi and 6 from CDA.
With day’s figure, the total positive cases in the city have gone up to 8215. While 5986 patients have recovered, 36 have succumbed to the disease. The city now has 2193 active cases.
