Balasore: A Bhubaneswar-bound bus, carrying 50 passengers, overturned on NH-16 near Bhogia Chhak in Odisha’s Balasore district early on Sunday morning, leaving 25 injured.
According to sources, the accident took place after the driver of the bus lost control over the vehicle.
On being informed, police reached the spot and rescued the victims. They were then rushed to Simulia Community Health Centre. Three among the injured were later shifted to the SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack as their condition deteriorated.
The driver of the bus fled soon after the mishap.
Police have seized the vehicle and started investigation.
