25 ‘Sickest’ Patients Die At Delhi’s Ganga Ram Hospital

New Delhi: Ganga Ram hospital here saw the death of 25 “sickest patients” in the last 24 hours, a hospital statement said on Friday morning.

The hospital also said around 8 am that it had oxygen for only two more hours.

“25 sickest patients have died in last 24 hours Oxygen will last another two hours. Ventilators and Bipap not working effectively. Resorting to manual ventilation in ICUs and Emergency. Major crisis likely. Lives of another 60 sickest patients at risk, need urgent intervention,” the hospital’s Medical Director said via a statement on Friday.

According to sources, low oxygen pressure could have contributed to the deaths.
